We research and innovate for the productive development of Chilean fruit

Our main objective is to incorporate new processes, methods and technologies to optimize fruit production and post-production processes, using applied scientific research as a basis.

Through the Research, Development and Innovation Department, we seek to keep our associated producers on the forefront of production through the transfer of new knowledge and advice on the choice and incorporation of agricultural practices and/or products that allow them to optimize and improve their production.

For this, we establish trials that validate the incorporation of new technological products and/or services that facilitate critical decision-making in fruit production, placing special emphasis on increasing efficiency in the responsible use of natural resources.

What do we do?

Based on the development of the activities mentioned above, it is possible to meet the global needs of an agricultural production that is sustainable and environmentally friendly.

The following are some of the activities developed:

Water

Implementation of a predictive model to determine the water needs of crops through remote sensing.

Advice and training for producers in the choice and use of equipment to determine the water status of crops.

Determination of the effect incorporating liquid organic amendments on the physical properties of the soil.

Development of indicators to determine pome fruit growth curves according to the climatic conditions of the land.

Establishment of intra-farm critical climatic zones for the establishment of new plantations.

Development and implementation of practices to increase the biodiversity of flora and fauna on agricultural properties.
